Assuring that a data-driven component is fit for a safety-critical purpose is an unsolved problem. Evidences that can be obtained from testing and other activities provide a basis to argue safety and assurance cases are increasingly used in research and practice in order to structure the safety argument. The presentation will elaborate on existing guidelines to structure the safety argument, figure out some challenges and proposes a related solution.

Sharing and monitoring structured safety arguments contributes to the necessary body of knowledge.
